Subject areas: Students are taught the history, conventions, tone, and content of a number of “genres.” Basically, it teaches you how to write stuff that sells. Innovative, one-of-a-kind, and absolutely beneath contempt—at least in my view. But since it is unique, and since it is a member of the AWP, and since you might be interested in it, voilà.
